Christmas Swap!

It is that time of year again...time for our Christmas Swap!
White elephant ideas or homemade or less than $20.00 is the limit...

I will leave the sign up open until November 15th! Then on the 16th I will assign partners and then you will have until December 15th to mail your swap gifts to your partner so that they get them before Christmas!

I am thinking that we can post the results, in pictures on their blogs, of what they received, when I am told that everyone has received theirs! It is time to leave me your names here and email me your mailing addresses at r.a.k@comcast.net so that next Saturday I can match everyone up with their partners.

Quiet Wednesday...

We went to the apple orchard today, before they closed. I wanted to get a whole slew of apples that we can make applesauce, and breads and desserts this fall. I think that we got there in the knick of time. Looks like they were winding down. We were the only visitors.
This is our Japanese maple tree that we have on our front porch. We have grown it from a seedling from our old house. We will be moving it out back soon. We are very proud of our little offspring. It has grown by leaps and bounds. I think that it might be time for yet another pot transfer in the spring.

The Way We Get By - Theatrical Trailer

on your local PBS channel.

It is called "The Way We Get By".

This is a show that was filmed in the Bangor, Maine, airport. It doesn't matter where you fall on the political spectrum on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is about these men and women who turn out to touch base with the men and women in uniform, coming and going from the theatre of action.

Check your local PBS channel for the time that it will be shown!
